[Absurdism]: If there is any inherent meaning in the universe, damned if we’re going to figure out what it is. The best thing to do is to embrace the absurdity of existence and live as best you can within it.

Like a man convicted of a capital crime, we’re all condemned to die. We have much less freedom than we often feel we have, but we can be grateful when we can choose what mental state to be in, and how we choose to make sense of existence. We choose one option that seems better than another, but really we have no way of knowing what the end will be. Other times, we have to choose between choices and have nothing to go off of to make the choice, but we must choose anyway.

This absurd reality that we live in only seems normal because we’re so used to it. By doing things that seem at first to be absurd, perhaps we can remind ourselves and others of just how absurd “normalcy” is too.
